Abstract:

In the aim to evaluate the performance of six peanut strains and two cultivars, based on yield indicators, in organic transition system in Jataí-GO region. The experiment was conducted at the Federal University of Goiás - Jataí Regional, and implemented on November 30, 2015. The manual harvesting, on April 28, 2016 (corresponding to 140 days after sowing), happened when 60% 70% of the pods had brown pigments inside. The experimental design was in randomized blocks (DBC) with eight treatments (2012-38; 2012-71; 2013-293; 2013-415; 2013-413 OL; 2013-415 OL), and with the commercial varieties Runner IAC 886 and IAC 505 in four repetitions. The evaluated characteristics are divided into two categories: (a) Productivity: evaluated by weighing the weight of pods of the parcels, and (b) weight of 100 pods; seed weight in 100 pods and 100 seed weight. After sowing, in the periods of 88, 119 and 140 days, fresh and dry fruits, as well as stems and roots were weighed. Throughout the plant cycle, there were photographic records for growth analysis and cover factor. Through the regression parameters, it was possible to estimate the fruiting period by subtracting the ripening days from the fruiting days. The evaluated strains differed statistically, with greater emphasis on productivity in the 13-425OL strain. Based on the studied parameters, the strains have potential to be cultivated under the organic system. The fungal diseases caused significant losses in the coverage factor.
