Abstract:

Aimed to study the relationship of weed interference on the morphogenesis, greenhouse gas production and productivity of Urochloa ruziziensis. The experiment was installed at the Federal University of Mato Grosso, Araguaia University Campus, in Barra do Garças - MT. The experimental design was randomized blocks, with treatments consisting of coexistence periods 0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 days with four replications. Morphogenic parameters were analyzed: tillering number, leaf number, photosynthetically active leaf blade biomass, green stem biomass, dry leaf biomass and dry stem biomass. After obtaining the biomass, the availability of green dry matter and dead dry matter corresponding to each period and their respective percentage participation in the total forage availability were calculated. In vitro analyzes of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) gas production were also performed. The results were subjected to analysis of variance by the F test and for the mean tests, 5% Scott-Knott was used. The production of biomass, CH4 and CO2 of U. ruziziensis was altered as soon as 15 days of coexistence with weeds with an even greater effect from 45 days. In conclusion, weeds interfere in all morphological parameters, productivity and greenhouse gas production of Urochloa ruziziensis.
