Graduated in Agriculture from the Federal Agricultural School of Muzambinho (1990), a degree in Agronomy from the University of Alfenas (1995), a master's degree in Agronomy (Plant Physiology) from the Federal University of Lavras (1997) and a doctorate in Functional and Molecular Biology (Biochemistry) by the State University of Campinas (2004). He's currently Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Goiás - Jataí Regional (UFG/REJ). He was coordinator of the Biological Sciences course (09/2011 to 09/2013) and President of the Executive Board of the Brazilian Plant Tissue Culture Association (ABCTP - 01/2010 to 12/2013). He works in the field of Agronomy and Biological Sciences, working on the following topics: Culture of Plant Tissues and Organs of Native Cerrado Species, Functional Genomics, Bioinformatics and Genotype x Environment Evaluation in Corn and Sugarcane. He teaches the subjects of Plant Physiology of Stress (Undergraduate and Postgraduate), Plant Physiology (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) and Plant Biochemistry (Postgraduate). Seed germination and physiology, nitrogen fixation and assimilation, plant tissue and organ culture and plant molecular biology in native plants and corn, soybean, bean and sugarcane crops.
