Abstract:

The use of agricultural plaster and phosphate fertilization are essential for grain production in Brazilian Cerrado soils, as it neutralizes the effect of toxic aluminum and provides important nutrients for plant metabolism. The objective of this study was to evaluate the residual effect of agricultural plaster associated with phosphate fertilization on soil chemical characteristics, mineral nutrition, development and yield of second crop corn under no-tillage. The experiment was conducted at UFG, Jataí Regional, with experimental design consisting of 15 treatments established in randomized blocks in a 5 x 3 factorial scheme, with 4 replications. The first factor corresponded to plaster doses (0, 1, 2, 4 and 8 Mg ha-1) and the second factor corresponded to phosphorus doses (0, 40 and 80 kg ha-1). The following components were evaluated in the corn crop of second crop sown 16 months after the application of the doses related to the treatments of the source of variation of the dry matter, the following components: leaf dry mass, leaf macro and micronutrient contents, yield components and grain yield. . In soil samples collected in the 0-20, 20-40 and 40-60 cm layers, the Ca, Mg, K, P, and S contents were evaluated. The residual effect (16 months) of the plaster doesn't increase phosphate fertilization efficiency for second crop corn crop. Under water stress conditions, corn grain yield responds to the application of agricultural plaster beyond the recommended dose by the formula NG = 5 x g kg-1 clay, which for this research is 2.93 Mg ha-1 plaster. Phosphorus provides corn grain yield increases only when 100% of the recommended dose is applied (80 kg ha -1 of P2O5).
