Abstract:
The production of hydroponic lettuce is expressive, however studies in order to refine currently available technologies are scarce, as well as information on local performance of cultivars. The objective of this work was to select the best cultivars of American lettuce for conventional cultivation in greenhouse and greenhouse under canvas, both in hydroponic system in the summer of Jataí, GO.. Two block trials were conducted with three replications, one in the greenhouse conventional environment and the other in the greenhouse under canvas and evaluated cultivars were considered as treatments. The seedlings were transplanted to final growth channel 17 days after sowing, harvesting occurred at 33 days of final stand, characteristics of head formation, total chlorophyll content, soluble solids content, total fresh commercial matter, stem and root, number of leaves, length and stem diameter. The results were submitted to analysis of variance and the means multiple comparison test of Scott-Knott. All cultivars presented a commercial pattern at the end of the experiment with variations of performance between the environments, showing good performance in the experimental conditions.
