Abstract

The consortium, of corn (Zea mays), with Urochloa spp. it stands out as the leading system for the production of straw and grains in the secondcrop. Good nutrition, on the second-crop corn improves the fault tolerance of the plants to the effects of climate change and the practice of fertilization eliminates or minimizes the competition for nutrients between the species consorciated. In the face of the diversity management practices adopted in the consorciação with brachiarias, and in the fertilization of the second-crop corn, the objective was to evaluate the performance of the second-crop corn intercropped with Urochloa ruziziensis in function of the forms the fertilization at seeding. The experiment was conducted in the experimental area of the Federal University of Goiás, Regional Jataí, Campus Jatobá, in the period of the 2019-second crop, in a randomized block design in a 3x2 factorial scheme, with four replications. The factor A correspond the fertilization of corn (in furrow, the thrown and without fertilization) using 18 kg of N, 72 kg of P2O5 and 64,8 kg of K2O and the factor B corresponds to that of corn, with and without intercropped with Urochloa ruziziensis. For maintenance of cultures was carried fertilization of out top-dressing of 70 kg of N, when the corn plants were in the stadium V4. We evaluated the components biometric (height of plants, height of insertion of first ear-corn, and the diameter of the stem) and of the production of corn (number of row the grains, number of kernels per row, length of ear-corn, diameter of ear-corn, weight of hundred grains and productivity of the grain). The results were subjected to analysis of variance and the means compared by Tukey's test at 5% probability. The presence of brachiaria does not interfere with the biometric parameters, and the production of second-crop corn. The fertilization in furrow the seeding, the thrown or fertilization absent no effect on the number of row the grains, number of kernels per row, length of ear-corn and diameter of ear-corn. The absence of fertilization negatively affects the height of plants, height of insertion of the first ear-corn, diameter of stem, weight of 100 grains and grain yields.
