Abstract:
This work has as objective evaluate the performance of five canola hybrids in three sowing times in Jataí-GO and evaluate alternative sowing method in experimental field. Two experiments were conducted in the Federal University of Goiás, Regional Jataí. In the first experiment Hyola 50, Hyola 61, Hyola 433, Hyola 571CL and Hyola 575CL hybrids were used in three sowing times. The following were evaluated: seedling emergence, inicial and final population, flowering, maturation, height, plant survival index, productivity and thermal sum calculation. The variance analysis was performed and the means were compared by the Scott Knott test at 5% of probability. Due to the region edaphoclimatic conditions in 2017, the best agronomic performance was in the first sowing time with Hyola 433 and Hyola 575CL hybrids and in the second with Hyola 571CL. In the second experiment, to evaluate sowing alternative method, the seeds initial characterization was perfomed. Afterwards, they were submitted to four sowing methods (without tape, seeds arranged on the tape positioned downwards, laterally and upwards). The following were evaluated: emergence, velocity index and first emergence count of seedling in sand. The variance analysis was performed and the means of each treatment were compared with the control by the Dunnett test at 5%. To verify the adhesive tape position effect the Tukey test was applied at 5%. The use of tape influence as an alternative method for sowing depends on the hybrid evaluated. The use of the adhesive tape does not interfere with the seedlings emergence of Hyola 50, Hyola 61, Hyola 433 and Hyola 575CL. In general, one should avoid the tape positioned downwards.
