Abstract

The objective this work was to accomplish the morfometric characterizing fruit, endocarps, seeds and seedlings and check a method to the dormancy overcoming of cajá-manga seeds (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) upon three conducting experiments. The first experiment was evaluated the morphological of fruit, endocarp, true seed and seedlings aspect. The second experiment was evaluated the quality cajá-manga fruits by characterization physical and chemical. The third experiment was evaluated the method influence for dormancy overcome in the followings treatments: control, distal portion scarification, distal portion scarification with imbibition in water, GA3 and cytokinins solution. The experiments were carried out at Universidade Federal de Jataí. The fruits were obtained from the S. dulcis plants around the Jataí City – Goiás. The first and second experiments were conducted in the completely randomized design and the third experiment was subjected in the random block design, the data collected and subjected in the homogeneity test and error normality, thereafter, it was carried out the analysis variance to the test F. The means were grouped using the Scott-Knott method, adopting the 1% probability error level. The fruits from the matrix 5, are larger, wider and more elongated fruits, an important characteristic for being uses by industry and in the acceptance these fruits at consumer market. The fruits harvested in Jataí City indicated, that, they could be consumed in nature and also industrialization. The gibberellic acid associated with cytokinin use for 12 h at a dose of 350 mgL-1 stood out for dormancy overcoming of cajá-manga seeds.
